WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Ethan Peters tossed a four-hit shutout to lift Wisconsin Rapids past Marshfield Post 54 1-0 in an American Legion baseball game Tuesday at Witter Field.
The loss drops the Blue Devils to 0-4 this season and 0-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Legion League.
Peters struck out six and walked one, while giving up just four singles to Marshfield.
Devin Toburen had two of Marshfield’s hits.
Josh Zwicke went 3-for-3 and knocked in the only run of the game with a single in the third inning.
Mason Coffren allowed the one run in five innings of work for the Blue Devils. Logan Matson threw a perfect sixth inning.
Marshfield plays at Stevens Point on Wednesday.
