Marshfield Senior Legion beats Antigo in 10th inning for sixth win in a row

MARSHFIELD – Ben Gust delivered a sacrifice fly to score Devin Toburen with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning, sending the Marshfield Senior Legion baseball team to a 3-2 win over Antigo in a Wisconsin Valley Legion League game Thursday night at Jack Hackman Field.

Marshfield has now won six games in a row and is 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the WVLL.

Dakota Landphier picked up the win for the Blue Devils, striking out three and walking three in a 3 2/3 shutout innings of relief. Jake Brueggen started for Marshfield, allowing two runs in 6 1/3 innings.

Toburen, Gust and Isiah Baierl each went 2-for-4 for Marshfield.

Marshfield is off until Monday when it hosts D.C. Everest at 7 p.m. at Hackman Field.
