Marshfield Senior Legion baseball dominates Adams-Friendship

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Post 54 Senior American Legion baseball team pushed its win streak to eight with an 11-1 victory over Adams-Friendship on Tuesday night at Jack Hackman Field.

The Blue Devils broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning, and put it away with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game via the 10-run rule.

Eli Drexler pitched five innings, striking out six, to earn the victory for Marshfield (8-4).

Dakota Landphier went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs, and Devin Toburen had three hits and two RBIs for the Blue Devils.

Marshfield plays at Merrill on Thursday before embarking on a road trip to Rochester, Minn., for a tournament Friday through Sunday. The Blue Devils will play Fargo (N.D.) at 5 p.m. Friday, and against Viroqua at 9 a.m. and Rochester at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
