WAUPUN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team opened up its 2018 season with a 3-1 win over Kenosha Christian Life in an opening-round game at the Central Wisconsin Christian Invitational on Friday night.
The Dons scored twice in the first half, on goals from Kellen Delaney and Evan Dieringer, and Nadim Torbey capped the scoring with a goal in the second half.
Kellen Heinzen had four saves in goal for Columbus Catholic.
The Dons will play Waupun in a semifinal Saturday at 10:15 a.m. with either the championship game or third-place game to follow.
