MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys soccer completed a wild week by winning for the fourth time in seven days as it routed Menasha 11-0 in a nonconference match Friday afternoon at Griese Park.

Josh Gruen had a hat trick, and Kade McManus and Sam Roherty both scored twice for the Tigers.

The game was Marshfield’s fifth in seven days, and the Tigers came away from the rough schedule with a 4-1 mark to improve to 6-2-1 this season.

Isaac Wellens, Kevin Cassidy, Elijah Hubler-Marti, and Kyle Tremelling all added goals for Marshfield.

Marshfield outshot the Bluejays (1-4-1) 25-3 overall and 18-2 on goal, with Austin Mannigel saving both shots for the Tigers in goal.

Marshfield plays at home against Wausau West at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Griese Park. Marshfield is tied with D.C. Everest for first place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with 10 points (3-1-1 record), one point ahead of Wausau West (3-1).
