CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls swim team had eight top-10 finishes to take seventh in the team standings at the Chippewa Falls Cardinal Invitational on Saturday.
Alyssa Franks had Marshfield’s top two individual finishes, taking second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:43.77 and third in the 200 individual medley in 2:28.24.
Kaitlyn Alberts was fifth in both the 100 butterfly (1:08.97) and 100 backstroke (1:07.40), and Hope Risa took sixth in the 200 freestyle (2:12.72) and 100 freestyle (1:00.54) as well for the Tigers.
Franks, Alberts, Risa and Tara Kracht also teamed up for a fourth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (4:10.13) and an eighth-place finish in the 200 medley relay (2:06.19).
Marshfield hosts La Crosse Central/Logan for a nonconference dual on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
