STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield freshman football team had a number of missed opportunities and was shutout by Stevens Point P.J. Jacobs 6-0 on Thursday at Goerke Field.

P.J. Jacobs scored on the final play of the first half for the game’s only points.

Marshfield had the ball inside the 20-yard line for several plays but were unable to score, losing the defensive battle and falling to 3-4 this season.

Zak Glamann, Jadon Page, Franklin Brodhagen and Camren Dennee led the Tigers in tackles.

Marshfield’s final game of the season will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Columbus Catholic High School against Wisconsin Rapids.
