Rhinelander sends Marshfield girls basketball to second-straight loss

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls basketball team dropped its second game in a row to start the season, losing to Rhinelander 65-50 in a nonconference matchup Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

Rhinelander pulled out to a 31-21 lead by halftime and the Tigers were unable to recover.

Kaydee Johnson scored 17 points and Jenna Jakobi had 16 for Marshfield (0-2).

Rhinelander (1-1) statistics were not provided.

Marshfield’s next game is at Medford on Nov. 29.
