Stratford girls basketball drops nonconference game to Tomah

STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Tomah 52-45 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers (1-1) trailed by three points at halftime and were outscored by four in the second half of the loss.

Stratford missed 10 of 18 free throw attempts.

Ella Plueger made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Tomah (3-0).

Macie Schillinger was the lone Tiger to reach double figures, scoring 10 points.

Stratford hosts Rib Lake on Thursday.
