STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team stifled Rib Lake, holding the Redmen to just nine made baskets, on its way to a resounding 63-26 victory in a Marawood Conference crossover game Thursday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers (2-1, 2-0 Marawood South) held Rib Lake (1-4, 0-3 Marawood North) to just 12 points in the first half as they cruised out to a 17-point lead by the break.
Stratford outscored Rib Lake 34-14 in the second half to finish off the victory.
Macie Schillinger had 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Blaire Lindner and Brenna Ackley each added 11 points for the Tigers.
Stratford hosts Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday.
