MEDFORD – Marshfield girls basketball coach Taylor Varsho picked up her first coaching victory as the Tigers beat Medford 56-35 in a nonconference game Thursday night at Medford High School.
Both Marshfield and Medford are now 1-2 this season.
Marshfield hits the road for another nonconference game Tuesday at Eau Claire North.
Kaydee Johnson led a balanced scoring output for the Tigers with 12 points. Jenna Jakobi added nine points, and Bailey Matis, Maddie Michaelis and Brooklyn Boushack all had eight for Marshfield.
Marshfield held Medford to just 11 points in the first half and built a commanding 29-11 lead by intermission.
