Columbus Catholic girls basketball routs Granton

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team poured it on early, rushing out to a huge first-half lead, and cruised to a 60-16 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons buried Granton early, pulling out to a 40-4 lead by halftime.

Columbus (5-2, 2-1 Cloverbelt East) had eight different players score in the win. Addie Baierl had 14 points, and Maren Seefluth and Dorci Walker each chipped in 10 for the Dons.

Kristin Strey scored seven of Granton’s 16 points.

Columbus Catholic hosts Owen-Withee for another Cloverbelt East tilt on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
