RHINELANDER – The Marshfield boys basketball team jumped out to a double-digit lead by halftime and blew out Rhinelander 72-39 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Rhinelander High School.
The Tigers (2-1) led 42-23 by halftime and built on their big lead by limiting Rhinelander (1-2) to just 16 points in the second half.
Marshfield made 11 3-pointers, including six from Brant Bohman and three by Anthony Posteluk. Bohman finished with a game-high 24 points and Posteluk added 15 as the only Tigers to reach double figures.
Seven other Marshfield players scored in the victory.
Marshfield will play La Crosse Logan at Kaukauna on Saturday.
