Stratford wrestling wins five matches by pin, cruises to win at Chequamegon

PARK FALLS – The Stratford wrestling team rolled to a win in its Marawood Conference dual meet opener on Thursday night, beating Chequamegon 72-9.

Stratford won seven matches by forfeit and five more by pin.

Max Schwabe (132 pounds), Devin Dennee (160), and Trevor Dennee (182) all won with pins in the first period of their respective matches for the Tigers.

Jacob Heiden (138) and Mav Licciardi (145) had second-period pins for Stratford.

Stratford will compete at the Weyauwega-Fremont Invitational on Saturday.
