Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball player Hailey Roehl has been voted as the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com November High School Athlete of the Month.
The High School Athlete of the Month Award is sponsored by Cost Cutters Family Hair Care and Burt Trophy & Awards.
Varsity athletes from the following high schools are eligible to be nominated for the award: Abbotsford, Athens, Auburndale, Colby, Columbus Catholic, Edgar, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Marathon, Marshfield, Neillsville, Owen-Withee, Pittsville, Spencer, Stratford and Thorp.
Roehl won the voting by just 33 votes, earning 1,633 of the nearly 3,800 votes cast.
Other nominees for the November award were: Auburndale girls basketball player Natalie Aue, Marshfield football and boys basketball player Brant Bohman, Edgar football player Ty Guden, and Stratford football player Kade Ehrike.
Roehl, a senior guard, has emerged as the Dons’ top scorer during the early portion of the season as Columbus has started the campaign with a 3-2 record. Roehl had five 3-pointers and a career-high 29 points in a win over Nekoosa at the Cranberry Classic on Nov. 23, had 12 points in a loss to Assumption on Nov. 24, and scored 17 points in the Dons’ win over Spencer on Nov. 27.
The winner of the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com High School Athlete of the Year will be announced Monday, July 10.

Roehl joins previous Athlete of the Month winners for the 2018-19 school year Spencer/Columbus Catholic football player Jarred Mandel (September) and Marshfield football player Ryan Krueger (October).
