La Crosse Logan edges Marshfield boys basketball in overtime

KAUKAUNA – The Marshfield boys basketball team made 10 3-pointers but came up a basket short, dropping a nonconference game in overtime to La Crosse Logan 65-63 on Saturday afternoon at the Baird/Gustman Shootout at Kaukauna High School.

The Tigers (2-2) led 29-23 at halftime before Logan (1-2) surged to force overtime and outscored Marshfield 6-4 in the extra four-minute period.

Isaac Meverden had 22 points and Anthony Posteluk added 15 for Marshfield, with each making a pair of 3-pointers. Brant Bohman and Preston Wagner, who both finished with 11 points for the Tigers, each had three makes from long range.

Marshfield plays at Wisconsin Rapids as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Tuesday. The girls game starts at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
