Marshfield High School junior Connor Berres recently competed at the U.S. Paralympic Swimming National Championships in Tucson, Ariz.

Berres, who swims on the Marshfield High School boys swim team, competed in five events at the meet, which was Dec. 14-16, and took first place in two events.

Berres won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:33.16 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:37.44 in his specific classification divisions.

Berres also placed second in the 50 freestyle in 30.19 and the 100 freestyle in 1:07.58, and was third in the 50 butterfly in 37.28 seconds.

Berres is coached in the U.S. events by Marshfield YMCA coach Aaron Heiss.
