Marshfield boys basketball sizzles in road win at Wausau West

WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys basketball team made 20 of 24 free throws and sank 12 3-pointers as it routed Wausau West 68-39 for its fourth-straight win.

Marshfield is now 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, while Wausau West falls to 2-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

Ten different Tigers scored in the victory, led by junior guard Anthony Posteluk’s 14 points. He was 4-for-6 from 3-point range, while Brant Bohman added three 3-pointers and 12 points in the win.

Marshfield shot 48 percent overall (18 of 37) and 50 percent (12 of 24) from 3-point range.

Marshfield is off until Friday, Jan. 18, when it plays at Stevens Point.
