MEDFORD – Stratford won all but one match as it cruised over Medford 62-6 in a nonconference wrestling dual Tuesday night at Medford Area Senior High.
The Tigers won six matches by forfeit, two by pin and two more by technical fall in the rout.
Gavin Drexler improved to 29-0 this season with a first-period pin at 113 pounds, and Derek Marten won by pin in just 25 seconds at 152 pounds for Stratford.
Hunter Ford (170) and Trevor Steiner (195) won by technical fall, Dillon Kirsch (126) earned a major decision, and Max Schwabe (132) and Mav Licciardi (145) both earned victories for the Tigers.
Stratford, the two-time defending WIAA Division 3 state team champions, will host a triple-dual meet Friday against defending Division 2 state champion Luxemburg-Casco, last year’s Division 1 state runner-up Holmen, and Antigo. Matches begin at 5 p.m. at Stratford High School.
