Bacon’s buzzer-beater lifts Spencer boys basketball over Colby

SPENCER – Austin Bacon sank a shot at the buzzer to lift the Spencer boys basketball team to a 67-65 victory over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Bacon finished with a game-high 26 points and Brett Kasch added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, for Spencer (4-5, 4-4 Cloverbelt East).

Nate Karau had six points and 13 rebounds, and Trinity Larson chipped in eight points in the win for Spencer.

Matthew Roth had 18 points for Colby (2-8, 2-5 Cloverbelt East).

Colby hosts Granton on Tuesday, while Spencer is off until next Thursday when it plays at Gilman.
