WAUSAU – The Marshfield wrestling team won all but two matches and rolled past Wausau East 72-9 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Thursday night at East High School.
Marshfield is now 4-1 in WVC dual meets, while East falls to 0-4. Marshfield’s final conference dual meet is next Thursday, Jan. 17, at home against Wausau West. The conference tournament is Feb. 2.
Marshfield won five matches by forfeit and seven others by pin in the victory.
Sirius Conrad (106 pounds), Tanner Kanable (138), Caden Pearce (145), Nolan Hertel (152), Brendan Braund (160), Sam Mitchell (195), and Sam Haessly (285) all won by pin for the Tigers.
Keagan Cliver (113), Shane Westerhausen (120), Gabe Pugh (126), Ryan Dolezal (132), and Bentley Schwanebeck-Ostermann (182) earned forfeit victories for Marshfield.
