Columbus Catholic boys basketball blows past Spencer

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team kept its undefeated record in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division intact with a 75-34 win over Spencer on Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons are now 14-1 overall and remain perfect at 10-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer falls to 6-8 and 5-6 in the conference.

Spencer was held to 32 percent shooting (13 of 41) and missed nine of its 12 free throw attempts.

Austin Bacon had 19 points for the Rockets.

Columbus Catholic statistics were not reported.

Spencer plays a nonconference game at Auburndale on Friday, while Columbus Catholic is off until Tuesday when it plays at Granton.
