LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball dropped a tight game in overtime, falling to Loyal 44-43 on Friday night at Loyal High School.
Loyal is now 13-5 overall and 9-4 in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus Catholic drops to 11-8 and 7-7 in conference play.
Addie Baierl had 17 points and Hailey Roehl added 13 for the Dons.
Remi Geiger and Hailey Rueth each had eight points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Greyhounds.
Columbus Catholic hosts Neillsville on Monday and plays at Owen-Withee on Tuesday to wrap up its conference schedule. The Dons will play in a Cloverbelt Conference crossover game on Thursday.
