The WIAA have released brackets for upcoming boys basketball playoffs, which will begin with regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Regional semifinals will be Friday, March 1, and regional finals are scheduled for Saturday, March 2.
Sectionals will be held Thursday, March 7, and Saturday, March 9, with sectional champions moving on to the 2019 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison on March 14-16.
In the Division 1 Sectional 1 bracket, Marshfield (14-6) is the No. 11 Oshkosh West (8-12) in a regional semifinal March 1 at 7 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of No. 3 Hudson (15-3) vs. No. 14 Superior (10-7) in a regional final March 2 at the higher seed.
Stratford (19-0) is the No. 1 seed in the bottom half of the Division 3 Sectional 1 bracket. The Tigers earned a first-round bye and will the winner of No. 9 Viroqua (6-13) and No. 8 Adams-Friendship (6-11) in a regional semifinal on March 1. If the Tigers win, they would also host a regional final on March 2.
Auburndale (17-3) also earned a No. 1 seed in top half of the Division 4 Sectional 2 bracket and have a first-round bye. The Apaches will host a regional final on March 1 against the winner of No. 8 Spencer (7-12) and No. 9 Necedah (6-12), who play at Spencer in a regional quarterfinal on Feb. 26.
Marshfield Columbus Catholic (19-1) is the top seed in the top half of the Division 5 Sectional 2 bracket. The Dons, who reached the state tournament two years ago and lost in the sectional finals last season, will take on No. 16 Tri-County (1-19) in a regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Feb. 26. No. 9 Loyal (9-11) will take on No. 8 Wisconsin Valley Lutheran (12-7) with the winners facing off in a regional semifinal March 1 at the higher seed.
