Marshfield fourth at Clover Valley girls golf meet

OSSEO – Kallie Mayer had a 51 and Maggie Field shot a 52 to help the Marshfield girls golf team to a fourth-place finish at the seventh Clover Valley Conference meet Thursday at Osseo Country Club.

Addie Vold of Osseo-Fairchild shot a 41 and Katie Pokrandt of Eau Claire Regis had a 42 for the top two individual finishes.

Eau Claire Regis won the meet, its seventh straight team win in Clover Valley meets, shooting a 179, six shots ahead of Osseo-Fairchild.

Savannah Shortess had a 56 and Sara Sturomski shot a 58 to round out Marshfield’s scoring as the Tigers finished with a 217.

Marshfield hosts the eighth leg of the conference meets on Tuesday at RiverEdge Golf Course and coach Jenessa Bonikowske is excited.

“The girls are looking forward to a home meet this coming Tuesday where we will try to regain fourth place in the conference going into the final conference meet,” Bonikowske said.
