MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball team fell to 0-2 on the young Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a 3-0 loss at home to Stevens Point on Thursday.
The Panthers won 25-17, 25-22, 26-24 in a tight match over the Tigers.
Stevens Point improves to 2-1 in conference play heading into the first WVC meet of the season Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids.
Tiffany Stargardt had 10 kills and 13 digs, Sarah Cherney added five kills and Sarah Wolff had 22 assists to lead Marshfield.
