NEILLSVILLE – The Spencer volleyball team, behind 20 kills and six blocks from Courtney Schulz, toppled Neillsville 3-1 for its third straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division win in a row.
Kylie Esser had 17 assists, Kyleigh Hebert added 11 assists, and Tara Matter and Erika Taylor each had six kills for the Rockets, who won the match 25-13, 20-25, 25-21, 25-11 to improve to 3-1 in the Cloverbelt East. Neillsville falls to 2-2.
“Courtney Schulz had a huge night … 20 kills in a match is a special night,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “It did take some nice defense and solid setting to get those results. Neillsville was a solid team full of hustle and tall.”
The Spencer JV team won 2-1 and the freshman team lost 2-1.
Spencer hosts Colby on Tuesday.
