WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Stevens Point won the fourth leg of the 2019 Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Ridges Golf Course.
Stevens Point finished first with a score of 327, with Marshfield and D.C. Everest tying for second with totals of 336. Marshfield and D.C. Everest remain tied for the overall lead with 24 points, with Stevens Point just one-half point behind in third.
Russell Dettmering of Merrill won meet medalist honors for the third-straight meet, finished with a 75. Carter Cygan of Wausau East finished second with a 77.
Marshfield’s top golfer was Cole Hanson, who finished sixth with an 81. Davis Rens, Nate Boson and Ben Baur finished in a five-way tie for 13th with 85s, and Jeffery Berres shot an 89 for the Tigers.
The fifth leg of the tournament is Friday at Merrill Public Golf Course.
