WESTBY – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team lost a pair of games at the Westby Tournament on Saturday, falling to host Westby 10-0 and Fennimore 13-3.
Both games ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
The Dons were held to just two hits in the loss to Westby. The Norsemen scored in four of their five at-bats, including a five-run fifth to end the game.
Columbus Catholic pitchers walked eight in the loss.
The Dons grabbed a 3-1 lead against Fennimore after a three-run third. Bryce Fuerlinger had a two-run double in the inning for Columbus Catholic.
Fennimore responded with a five-run third and put the game away with a seven-run fifth inning.
Three Dons’ pitchers combined for 10 walks in the loss.
Columbus Catholic (2-8 overall) hosts Gilman in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Monday at Jack Hackman Field.
