MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield baseball team split a nonconference doubleheader with La Crosse Logan on Saturday, winning 10-1 and losing 7-2, in games at Jack Hackman Field.
In the opener, Logan Schreiner threw a complete-game one-hitter for the Tigers, striking out seven and walking just one.
Marshfield scored three times in the first, fourth and fifth innings to win going away.
Riley Boushack had three RBIs, Isaiah Baierl drove in two, and Mason Coffren and Brant Bohman each had three hits and three runs scored for the Tigers. Ryan Krueger also added a pair of hits in the win.
In Game 2, Logan (5-17) scored twice in the first inning and four times in the second against Coffren, the Marshfield starting pitcher.
The Tigers managed nine hits, but was only able to plate two runs.
Krueger had three hits, and Bohman and Baierl each had two singles for the Tigers (11-10).
Marshfield returns to action Tuesday at Wausau East.
