NEKOOSA – Auburndale scored four runs in the first inning added six more in its final three at-bats to outlast Nekoosa 9-6 in a nonconference softball game Thursday.
Auburndale finishes the regular season with a 13-4 record as it won for the 10th time in the last 11 games.
Mackenzie Raab and Abby Koopman each had two hits, and Koopman drove in two runs for the Apaches.
Maggie Willfahrt earned the win on the mound, striking out four in four innings.
Auburndale hosts Markesan in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal Tuesday.
