Several Marshfield High School athletic events have been postponed or canceled Thursday due to the heavy rains in Central Wisconsin.
*The varsity and JV boys soccer games against Merrill have been postponed to Monday. The varsity game will be at Weinfurter Field at Griese Park and the JV game will be played at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County fields, both at 4:30 p.m. The freshman game scheduled against Waupaca has been postponed. A date has not been announced.
*The cross country meet against Wisconsin Rapids and Spencer, scheduled for Frey Field in Spencer, has been canceled.
*The sophomore football game against D.C. Everest at Beell Stadium has been canceled.
*The Clover Valley Conference girls golf meet at Pine Valley Golf Course in Marathon has been postponed to Monday at 3:30 p.m.
*The girls tennis meet against Wisconsin Rapids has been postponed to Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Boson Courts.
*The volleyball match and girls swimming meet at Merrill have been postponed. Both will be made up on Oct. 5.
