Marshfield girls golf opens season with meets at Tomah, Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls golf team opened its season with a pair of meets this week.

The Tigers competed at Tomah on Monday and Lake Wissota Golf Course in Chippewa Falls on Thursday.

Marshfield had a team score of 495 at Tomah.

Anna Weis shot a 92, Bryssa Lenz had a 112, Sophie Lee had a 137, and Tia Campbell had a 154 for 18 holes.

At Chippewa Falls, the Tigers had a team score of 456, which was made up of their top four golfers, and finished fourth.

Morgan Meyer led Marshfield with a 98. Weis added a 110, Lenz had a 122, and Lee had a 126 to round out the scoring for the Tigers. Campbell also shot a 168.

Prescott won the team title with a score of 356, 32 shots better than Hudson.

Marshfield will return to action with a meet at Stevens Point on Friday.
