Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps three matches at home quadrangular

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team hosted a quadrangular meet on Tuesday to open its 2019 season and finished a perfect 3-0.

The Dons beat Rib Lake 25-15, 25-11; Loyal 25-14, 22-25, 15-4; and Osseo-Fairchild 25-22, 25-22.

Emmalee Jicinsky topped Columbus Catholic with 19 kills, 21 digs and seven blocks. Jess Jakopin added 14 kills and seven blocks, Dorci Walker had 11 kills and a team-high seven service aces, and setter Meghan Kibbel had 56 assists in the Dons’ three matches. Sydney Litwaitis added 18 digs and five aces.

Columbus Catholic will compete at the Menomonie Sprawl at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Friday and Saturday.
