Stratford football dominates Antigo

ANTIGO – Stratford scored four first-quarter touchdowns and went on to rout Antigo 55-0 in a nonconference football game Friday at Schofield Stadium.

Stratford led 29-0 after the first quarter and 42-0 at halftime on its way to its second-straight win to start the season.

Chase Flink only had two carries at running back, but made two huge plays to ignite the Tigers. Flink hauled in a 66-yard touchdown pass from Chandler Schmidt and returned a kickoff 80 yards for another score.

Teddy Redman ran for 82 yards on just six carries, one for a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown pass from Max Schwabe for Stratford.

Kainoa Gouveia rushed for two touchdowns, and Justin Schoenherr and Matt Handrick also had running scores for the Tigers.

Stratford opens its Marawood Conference schedule Friday at home against Tomahawk.
