AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale volleyball team opened up its Marawood Conference dual meet schedule with a 3-0 sweep of Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale won 25-20, 25-21, 25-9, to open its Marawood South Division slate.
Isabelle Hilber had eight kills, Maggie Willfhart had 11 digs, and Georgi Schmutzer had 18 assists and 10 digs for the Apaches.
Kaitlyn Kundinger added five kills, and Natalie Aue, Katie Helmniak and Schmutzer each chipped in with four kills in the win for Auburndale.
Auburndale plays a nonconference match at Iola-Scandinavia on Thursday.
