STRATFORD – The Stratford volleyball team began its quest for a third-straight Marawood Conference South Division title with a 3-1 win over Edgar in its conference-opener on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
Stratford won 25-22, 25-17, 22-25, 25-12.
Mikayla Guldan had 10 kills and eight digs, Lauryn Nagel added nine kills and 11 assists, Abby Oertel had 18 assists, and McKenna Krall had 12 digs and five service aces to lead the way for the Tigers.
Kamryn Schueller added seven kills for Stratford, which had 17 service aces in the win.
Stratford hosts Marshfield in a nonconference match on Thursday. The match will be streamed live on zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
