Columbus Catholic soccer rolls past Pacelli

STEVENS POINT – Kellen Delaney had two goals and an assist to push the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team to a 5-1 win over Stevens Point Pacelli on Monday night at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.

Columbus Catholic is now 5-1-3 overall and 3-0-1 in the Central Wisconsin Conference. Pacelli falls to 3-5 and 2-3 in conference play.

Zach Olson scored on an assist from Delaney, and after Pacelli tied the game with a Columbus own goal, Jadon Nienast scored, Delaney had a pair of scores, and Tom Nystrom finished off the win for the Dons.

Tyler Linzmeier and Zach Olson each had assists for Columbus.

The Dons host Wausau Newman Catholic in another CWC game at 5 p.m. Thursday at Griese Park.
