MARSHFIELD – After splitting the first two sets, the Columbus Catholic volleyball team dominated the final two and defeated Owen-Withee 3-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match Tuesday at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons, winners of the past two Cloverbelt East titles, opened its conference schedule with a 25-12, 20-25, 25-14, 25-7, victory. Owen-Withee falls to 1-1 in conference play.
Emmalee Jicinsky had 12 kills and nine digs, Dorci Walker had nine kills and 17 digs, Sydney Litwaitis led the Dons’ defense with 27 digs, and Meghan Kibbel had 29 assists in the victory for Columbus.
Columbus Catholic will play at the Diocesan Tournament at Chippewa Falls McDonell on Saturday.
