WAUSAU – Stevens Point won its fourth-straight leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament on Tuesday, finishing with a team score of 174 at Trapp River Golf Course in Wausau.
Abby Nickel earned medalist honors with a 42, Ally Nickel tied for second with a 43, and Leah Earnest had a 44 to take fourth for Stevens Point.
Jasmine Yang of Wausau West/East tied for second with a 43 and maintained her overall lead in the individual standings.
Wausau West/East finished second with a 202, Wisconsin Rapids was third with a 204, and D.C. Everest was fourth with a 230.
Marshfield finished fifth with a 249. Morgan Meyer took 11th with a 52, Sophie Lee had a 61, Anna Weis shot a 64, Bryssa Lenz had a 72, and Tia Campbell shot an 80 for the Tigers.
The fifth leg of the tournament will be Sept. 24 at Marshfield Country Club, and the final leg will be Sept. 25 at Stevens Point Country Club.
