Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps Neillsville to improve to 2-0 in Cloverbelt East

NEILLSVILLE – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team improved to 2-0 in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action this season with a 3-0 sweep of Neillsville on Thursday night at Neillsville High School.

The Dons won 25-17, 25-19, 25-20, to remain unbeaten in conference play and send Neillsville (2-1) to its first loss.

Emmalee Jicinsky had 16 kills and 20 digs, Dorci Walker had 11 kills and 14 digs, and Maria Taylor added seven kills and 12 digs to lead Columbus Catholic.

Setter Meghan Kibbel had 34 assists and 12 digs, and Libero Sydney Litwaitis had 24 digs and four service aces as well for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic will compete at the Medford Invitational on Saturday.
