The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield Marauders volleyball team opened its 2019 season with a triangular at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau and a dual meet at Wausau.
On Saturday, the Marauders lost to Wausau 25-12, 25-14, 25-16, and to UW-Platteville at Richland 27-25, 25-7, 25-9.
On Monday, Marshfield lost at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau, 3-0. Wausau won by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-17.
Marshfield will play UW-Eau Claire-Barron County at home at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Team members for the Marauders this year at Sarah Boller from Wausau Newman Catholic, Mary Ann Stangl and Marlee Freeck from Marshfield, Isabella Benson from Stanley-Boyd, Hailey Leu and Morgan Hartl from Medford, Elizabeth Boudreau of Nekoosa, and Renee Kremer of Pittsville.
