Marshfield boys soccer drops road game at Hortonville

HORTONVILLE – Hortonville scored three times in the first 39 minutes and went on to beat Marshfield 4-1 in a nonconference boys soccer game Saturday at Hortonville High School.

Kaden Bonikowske scored at the 17:06 mark, Ian Hoyer added a goal five minutes later, and Dillon Brise scored in the 39th minute to give the Polar Bears (7-4-3) a quick 3-0 lead.

Alejandro Mayagoitia scored Marshfield’s only goal, on an assist from Spencer Frey, at the 19:59 mark of the second half.

Gage Gansen got the goal back 3½ minutes later for Hortonville.

Marshfield (8-5-2) hosts D.C. Everest on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Heiting Community Stadium.
