Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps Spencer

SPENCER – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team dominated Spencer on Tuesday night, rolling to a 3-0 win at Spencer High School.

The Dons won 25-12, 25-9, 25-13, to improve to 5-1 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division. Spencer falls to 0-6.

Dorci Walker had 10 kills and 16 digs to lead Columbus Catholic in both categories.

Sydney Litwaitis had 12 digs and three service aces, Megan Kibbel had 25 assists and five aces, Emmalee Jicinski had seven kills and 11 digs, and Ashley Herman added six kills for the Dons.

Heavyn Kind had eight kills, Elexa Post had 19 digs, and Zalexis Mannigel had 16 assists and 12 digs for Spencer.

Columbus Catholic hosts first-place Gilman on Thursday, while Spencer will play at Colby, both in Cloverbelt East matchups.
