MARSHFIELD – Jeff Marsh had two long touchdown runs to help the Marshfield freshman football team to a 39-16 win over Antigo on Thursday at Heiting Community Stadium.
Marsh had touchdown runs of 27 and 96 yards for two of the Tigers’ six touchdowns.
Garrett Willuweit returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown, and quarterback Trevor Foemmel accounted for three more scores, and had an interception on defense, for Marshfield.
Foemmel ran for a 4-yard touchdown run, and had TD passes of 1 yards to Sam Meverden and 23 yards to Carson Matis.
Noah Peterson added three extra points, and Keith Brooks, Adrian Kruger and Willuweit led the Tigers’ defense.
Marshfield will play at Sparta on Oct. 17.
