Spencer volleyball beats Colby for first Cloverbelt East win of the season

COLBY – The Spencer volleyball team grabbed its first Cloverbelt Conference East Division win of the season, downing Colby 3-1 on Thursday night at Colby High School.

The Rockets won 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, to finish their Cloverbelt East schedule with a 1-6 record. Colby ends at 0-7.

Heavyn Kind had 16 kills and 13 digs, Zalexis Mannigel had 29 assists and 11 digs, and Elexa Post had 18 digs for Spencer.

Jorie Meyer added seven kills and Mallori Barth had six kills in the win for the Rockets.

Spencer will compete at a Cloverbelt East-West crossover on the road Tuesday. Its opponent is yet to be determined.
