PITTSVILLE – The Auburndale volleyball team swept Pittsville 3-0 in a nonconference match Thursday night at Pittsville High School.
Auburndale won 25-12, 25-13, 25-13.
Georgi Schmutzer had 29 assists and seven digs, Kendra Zieher had 10 kills, Katie Helminiak added eight kills and Madison Krings had four service aces and seven digs for Auburndale.
Julia Redmond had 11 digs and four kills, and Helen Durrant had six assists for Pittsville.
Auburndale will compete in the Edgar Invitational on Saturday and complete its regular-season schedule Tuesday with a Marawood Crossover meet at Marathon.
Pittsville’s next match is Oct. 17 at Tri-County.
