STRATFORD – Stratford High School senior Chandler Schmidt announced on Twitter on Friday that he will be continuing his education and playing baseball at Winona State University in Winona, Minn., next fall.

“I’d like to thank God, my parents, coaches, and teachers for getting me to where I am today,” Schmidt said on his Twitter page, posting a picture of the Winona State logo.
