WAUSAU – The Marshfield Middle School girls swim team had eight top-10 finishes and finished sixth at the Horace Mann Invitational on Oct. 12.
The 10 teams at the meet comprised of the central Wisconsin middle school conference.
Stevens Point won the team title with 340 points. Marshfield was sixth with 104 points.
Terra Risa finished third in the 50-yard butterfly in 30.28 seconds and third in the 50 backstroke in 31.84 for Marshfield’s top finishes.
Lauren Olszewski took fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:02.81) and sixth in the 200 freestyle (2:21.91), and Brooke Begotka was fifth in the 50 butterfly (30.99) and 50 breaststroke (36.83) for Marshfield’s other individual top-10 finishes.
The Tigers’ relay team of Risa, Natalie Schrenbroch, Begotka and Olszewski was fourth in the 200 medley relay in 2:12.53, and sixth in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:27.30.
