STRATFORD – The Stratford girls volleyball team will play for another regional championship after it defeated Edgar 3-1 in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal Thursday night at Stratford High School.
After losing the first game 25-19, Stratford swept the next three sets 25-11, 25-18, 25-8.
No. 2 seed Stratford will host No. 3 Auburndale for the Division 3 regional championship match at 7 p.m. Saturday. The match will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
Stratford and Auburndale met twice during the regular season. Auburndale won the first matchup at its home tournament before Stratford enacted revenge with a hard-fought 3-2 win during a Marawood South dual in early October at Auburndale High School.
Game statistics from Stratford’s win over Edgar were not provided.
